To which shall be referred all proposed legislations, messages, petitions, memorials and other matters relating to the work of the committee, as follows:

• Determination of the validity and amount of all claims brought against the Republic and to derive ways and means for the settlement of it;
• Holding of hearings regarding claims;
• Examination of petitions for annuity, pension, redness and relief for the common good;
• Consideration of claims brought against private persons or private corporations and enterprises.
