A five day training for Chief of Office Staff and Resource Officers of the Legislature has begun in Monrovia with a record of over fifty participants in attendance.
During the opening ceremony at the Marketplace Conference Hall , House Deputy Speaker Hans Barchue urged the staffers to consider the training program seriously. He pointed out that a competent staff makes a competent lawmaker.
for his part , House Rules and Order Chairman , Edwin Snowne commended the facilitators and the National Democratic Institute for such training exercise .
earlier , the Country Director of the NDI , Aubrey McCutcheon , said his Institution is committed to working with the Legislature in implementing the five (5) years Legislative Modernization Plan .
